Today I have something sci-fi for you! We’re featuring Dark Genius by author H. Peter Alesso!
At first I wasn’t so sure about joining the book blast for this book, so I did a quick research on the author and found out that he’s a scientist and has written a few space opera/adventure books that look interesting. So I thought, okay lemme help out with this one. Also, the blurb mentions the “God particle” so that really caught my attention. Yayyy.
Read more about the book below and check out the book blast giveaway! Cheers! Continue reading “Spotlight and Giveaway: Dark Genius by H Peter Alesso”
It’s Banned Books Week! It’s that time of the year again when we celebrate the freedom to read.
What’s Banned Books Week, you ask?
Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. Typically held during the last week of September, it highlights the value of free and open access to information. Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community — librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers — in shared support of the freedom to seek and express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular. — www.ala.org
This Banned Books Week Giveaway Hop is hosted by BookHounds and runs from September 15 to 30.

Yup, here I am again with all things Elise Kova! Today I’m participating in the cover reveal for The Rebels of Gold, the third and final book in the Loom Saga!
I mentioned in a previous post that I am forever fascinated by this author’s work even though I haven’t gotten around to reading my copies of her books. They just look so pretty and have intriguing blurbs and I’ve read so many good reviews. And I know I have to start reading them already! Gah.
Anyway, please check out The Rebels of Gold and marvel at its gorgeous cover! Seriously, Elise Kova’s books have pretty awesome covers.

I flew out to Cebu the other weekend to hang out with my girlfriends for our “not always annual but we try” annual girls weekend getaway. We went to Bantayan Island, which has one of the most gorgeous beaches in the country (and the world!).
The weekend was a blast, as usual. You know how it is when you meet up with your long time friends, right? Anytime you get together it’s pretty much all laughs and crazy antics. And we were all due for some much-needed girl time and beach fix, so it was a great vacay from our usual lives.
Anyway, now I shall ramble and share some photos, yeah? Fair warning: this post turned out suuuper long. ;)

I love blogs and websites that have clean and simple themes. LOVE them and I often visit some of my favorites not just to check out their latest posts but also admire their pretty pretty blogs. I also try to emulate them by playing around with my blog design hundreds of times a month. Seriously, I am never satisfied with how my blog looks.
Anyway, I posted a list of my ‘favorite minimalist blog design’ several few years ago and I think it’s time for another one! So, here you go! Yayyy.

I always try to use my own photos on my blog, but I’m not great at taking awesome pictures, so sometimes I refer to my favorite sources of stock photography when I need a gorgeous image for a blog post.
I recently discovered a new source and was feeling so happy about it that it inspired me to write a post about my go-to stock photo sites! So, yeah, this here’s it! Check out my favorite sources of mostly-free photos. Yayyy. ;)

Hi, guys. Yup, I’m back again for another promo post about Blood Magic by author Danielle Rose!
I still haven’t finished the first book. Because I’m a terrible, terrible reader and blogger. This fantasy series is really quite interesting, I swear. I mean, it has vampires and witches! I’m just in such a tiring and terrible reading rut right now. I just have no mood to read anything and I hate it. I mean, I’ve been trying to read three awesome books, including Blood Rose, for a while now and I’m still nowhere near finishing any of them. I hate this rut.
Anyway, enough about that. Read more about Blood Magic below!

Happy August 2nd, folks! August 2nd is not really a thing, right? But it’s a new month and with it come some pretty interesting challenges for moi and some pretty exciting things I’m looking forward to. I have lots on my mind and on my plate for the month and I just wanted to share it with you. Yeah, I really should be working right now, but lemme just spout off these things, okay?

Yay it’s release day for Blood Magic, the second book in the fantasy series by author Danielle Rose!
Last time I posted about Blood Magic, I said I was halfway through the first book, Blood Rose. Aaaand I haven’t made much progress. Gah. I know. Terrible. I gotta say, the book’s pretty interesting. Danielle Rose has a different take on the “vampires and witches” dynamic, something I haven’t seen before so that’s good, right? Anyway, this reading rut is getting pretty tiring, but I will really try try try to get over this, friends!
Sooo, enough about me and read more about Blood Magic and Blood Rose below!

I hear so many good things about Elise Kova’s books. In fact, I already have her Air Awakens series on Kindle as well as the first Loom Saga book, The Alchemists of Loom. I’m still struggling with my reading rut so I haven’t gotten around to reading any of them (gaahhh), but I’m still pretty excited to be a part of this blog tour. It’s like I have FOMO* when it comes to Elise’s books. Crazy, right?
Anyway, read on to know more about The Dragons of Nova and the series. And, of course, enter the blog tour giveaway for a chance to win a hardcover of the book and some swag! :) Continue reading “Spotlight and Giveaway: The Dragons of Nova (Loom Saga #2) by Elise Kova”
