PR, Advertising and Partnerships
I’m open to collaborations to help you drive traffic to your blogs and/or promote your brands as long as they are something I can get behind with. If you want to partner up or advertise, just send me a message!
Book Review Policy
Hi friends. I seldom accept new book review requests these days because of my crazy high review pile. However, if we have worked before I’m open to other ways I can help promote your book. I also apologize to the authors who have been waiting for a review. I am so sorry for the long wait. If we’ve talked about a review and you don’t see it here on the blog, please get in touch.
The kinds of book I read
I gravitate towards fantasy and science fiction. I also like suspense and thriller, horror, and sometimes literary fiction. I prefer to feature books in the genres I mentioned. I’m open to children’s books, middle grade, young adult, new adult, adult books and what have you. I’m also open to featuring indie, self-published or small press books.
How I review and where I post my reviews
I don’t really have a structure when it comes to reviews. I don’t follow a strict guideline and I don’t do a serious or technical critique of the book. I mostly just talk about my thoughts and feelings about it, what I like and don’t like, and who I think will enjoy it. I don’t use any kind of review rating system on this blog (read more about my feelings on that here). My reviews include cover art, book summary (from Goodreads or Amazon), author photo, bio and links, and purchase links. I usually cross-post my reviews on Goodreads and Amazon.
I do not get paid nor do I ask for payment for book reviews. I obtain my own personal copies of the books or I receive copies from the author or publicist/representative for review. I am not obligated to give a positive review and all opinions expressed in reviews are entirely mine. Any review copy sent to me will not be shared, given, or sold.

Guest Post Guidelines
I am generally open to guest contributors (or blog raiders, as I’d like to call them), but I do like to select guest posts very carefully and make sure they actually fit with my blog. I lean more towards guest posts by authors who have a new book out, but I am also open to fellow writers and bloggers who can write about books, books to movies, movies and music, freelance writing, working at home, ultimate frisbee and awesome graphic tees — stuff that I usually ramble about here on the blog.
If you want to write a guest post and can somehow write about the topics above, then that’s perfect! If you’re an author or blogger, you can also simply introduce yourself and talk about your book or blog.
If you need post ideas, you can write along the lines of my favorites:
- Inspiration Monday – About anything that inspires/inspired you
- Operation Jump – About the jump from the corporate life to the freelancer’s life or entrepreneur’s life, or this can be about any major life-changing decision you made
- Top (insert number) List – It can be about anything at all. My favorite topics for this are: top 10 books made into movies, top 10 movies that would be great as books, top 10 books that haven’t been made into movies but should be, or top 10 sci-fi/fantasy books or characters.
So, what’s in it for you, you ask. One definition of a raid says that the raider takes away spoils. Your spoils, my precious blog raider, will not be gold and coins, but the warm and fuzzy feeling of having been able to help this blogger fill blog space for a day. *Ooh fuzzy!*
Shoot me an email if you feel like guest posting. Unfortunately, I can’t offer payment for guest posts, but I will share it on my social networks. :)
Giveaways hosted on this blog are either related to a blog tour, a blogger event, a giveaway hop, or a personal giveaway sponsored by me.
Giveaways are open internationally to participants 13 years of age or older unless stated otherwise.
For giveaways that are sponsored by me, winners are selected by Rafflecopter. Winners will be emailed and have 48 hours to respond and claim their prize. If there is no response after 72 hours (3 days), a new winner will be selected.
I reserve the right to disqualify entries that do not comply with the giveaway rules.
For giveaways related to a blog tour or blogger event, the giveaway sponsors will be responsible for verifying entries and selecting the winners. Information about this is usually included in the giveaway post.
Personal information (email address, shipping address, etc.) will be kept confidential and will not be shared.
