Yay it’s release day for Blood Magic, the second book in the fantasy series by author Danielle Rose!
Last time I posted about Blood Magic, I said I was halfway through the first book, Blood Rose. Aaaand I haven’t made much progress. Gah. I know. Terrible. I gotta say, the book’s pretty interesting. Danielle Rose has a different take on the “vampires and witches” dynamic, something I haven’t seen before so that’s good, right? Anyway, this reading rut is getting pretty tiring, but I will really try try try to get over this, friends!
Sooo, enough about me and read more about Blood Magic and Blood Rose below!

Today we’re featuring The Dragons of Nova, the latest book in the Loom Saga series by author Elise Kova!
I hear so many good things about Elise Kova’s books. In fact, I already have her Air Awakens series on Kindle as well as the first Loom Saga book, The Alchemists of Loom. I’m still struggling with my reading rut so I haven’t gotten around to reading any of them (gaahhh), but I’m still pretty excited to be a part of this blog tour. It’s like I have FOMO* when it comes to Elise’s books. Crazy, right?
Anyway, read on to know more about The Dragons of Nova and the series. And, of course, enter the blog tour giveaway for a chance to win a hardcover of the book and some swag! :) Continue reading “Spotlight and Giveaway: The Dragons of Nova (Loom Saga #2) by Elise Kova”

I just realized it’s already July and we’re halfway through the year. Thought I should do a mid-year report of some sort just to lay out how my year has been. Also, I wanted to blog about something personal to balance out all the book spotlights I’ve been doing for the last few weeks. I admit, all those bookish posts are a sign of how lazy I am to blog about other things.
Anyway, not gonna ramble long about that. So, I’m basing this mid-year check on my new year post last January. Here we go!

Yay! It’s the Pre-Order Blitz for Blood Magic, book two of the new urban fantasy series by author Danielle Rose.
I’m halfway through book one, Blood Rose, and it’s pretty interesting so far. I’ll definitely post a review when I’m done though I really can’t say when that’s going to be. I’m such a slow reader these days.
Anyway, read more about this series below and get your copies now if these books are right up your alley! Blood Rose is on sale and Blood Magic is available for pre-order at a discounted price!

Today we’re featuring Blood Rose by author Danielle Rose. Maaaaan, I really wanted to read this and post a review in time for this blog tour, but alas I just can’t make myself read anything these days. I pre-ordered this book back in March and was hoping to start reading it, but no. I soooo want to break out of this reading rut already! Gahhh
Anyway, enough about me and on to the book! Read more about Blood Rose below!

Oh yay I have a new T-Shirt Thursday post! It’s been a while coz I’ve been busy.
I’ve been a lazy blogger as always, that’s what. This blog has gotten so boring, I swear. I’m getting so frustrated over this reading and blogging rut, but I’m really really trying to get this blog back to how it was before. You know, more personal and fun (for me, anyway). I mean, sure I love posting about the books that catch my attention, but I also want to post more about other things, like stuff I find interesting or about what’s been happening in my life. Yadda yadda yadda.
Anyway highway, I gotta think and work on that for a bit. Now lemme attempt to entertain you with my graphic tee picks of the week! YAYYY.

Father’s Day is right around the corner, folks! Got anything special planned for the dads in your life?
I’ve to admit, I’m not really the gift-giving type. Probably got that from my family. I mean, sure, we celebrated special days but gifts were usually reserved for birthdays and Christmas. Most probably because we weren’t well off and there were more important things to spend on. This is also probably why I’m not great at picking presents. I tend to go for things that are useful as opposed to things that are nice to have. Know what I mean?
Anyway, never mind what I was just babbling about. It’s almost Father’s Day and for those who are still clueless about what to get your dad, grandad, husband, brother, boyfriend, friend or whoever, here’s something you should check out!
Gifts Less Ordinary, an online marketplace for unique and unusual gift items, has a Father’s Day selection that’s pretty nifty if you’re looking for something cool and different for the fathers in your life!

This month I’m in a writing workshop called 15 Days of Writing True, created by one of my favorite writers and surfer girl crushes, Camille Pilar, and the amazing Sofia Cope, who I only discovered because of this workshop. If you’ve heard of Camille and Sofia, then you’ll know how utterly breathtaking their individual works are and you’ll understand when I say that, together, they created a workshop that is all kinds of beautiful. I mean, seriously. Camille’s exquisite words and Sofia’s gorgeous art together? It’s truly sublime.

Today we’re featuring Daughter of Aithne, book 3 of the Silver Web trilogy by author Karin Rita Gastreich. I read and reviewed book 2, Sword of Shadows, some time last year and really liked it. I would’ve reviewed this one, too, but I just don’t have the time right now. I’m happy to spread the word about it though!
Read more about the book and check out the giveaway at the end of this post!
