HNY! Happy New Year! May the year of the water dragon be great for all of us! :P
To celebrate, I read a book. Hah. Yay for geeks. Yay I finished my first book for the year. See? I’m still reading, folks! Okay, granted this is a book for young teens and is really easy to read, I think it still counts as good reading. Rick Riordan makes pretty good stories.
The Son of Neptune is the second book in Riordan’s Heroes of Olympus series. I read the first book, The Lost Hero, last year. It was very fast-paced and fun. It’s the same with this second book. Very action-packed. Very very easy read. A very sleepy and tired me finished it in under six hours yesterday afternoon. I just came from playing ultimate in the hot sun and was getting ready to nap when I saw the book on the corner of my bed. It’s been there for a while because the book’s been on my reading list for a while. I decided to read a few pages before sleeping but I ended up reading the whole thing. It really was an easy read. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. It’s for teens after all. I’m not much of a book reviewer so I don’t really want to get into the story and everything. It’s about Greek and Roman gods so it’s really interesting. Anyway, I’m looking forward to the next installment. It should be just as fun, but it doesn’t come out for a while so I’m going to try to stick to my reading list first.
I’ve been reading A Game of Thrones. I started a couple of weeks ago and I only read for a few minutes every other day or so. It’s a pretty long book, but so far so good. It kinda runs exactly like the HBO series. I saw the first season and it was awesome. I’m hoping to finish this book before the second season starts.
And that’s it for today. Have a good week!! :)

@Tisha: Atat na ko matapos! Haha. Ang layo ko pa huhu. I do like the visualizations in the book.
@moonpool: Come! Sali na sa bandwagon! LOL.
I haven’t seen or read Game of Thrones but my brother-in-law and sister are addicted. They spent an entire day and a half watching Season 1 and ended up not going to the beach one weekend. They were just holed up in their room. So funny…
I like the GoT book (and all the succeeding ones) because you get to understand the characters’ motivations. And grabe the way he describes food. Haha
