Girl Crush Friday: Imogen Poots

Look at this gorgeous girl! I first noticed British actress Imogen Poots in the zombie movie 28 Days Later. She was still pretty young in that movie, but she caught my attention. I think its her big expressive eyes that just reel you in.

I saw her again in A Long Way Down, a movie about four suicidal strangers who form an unlikely friendship after meeting at the top of a building known to be a “favorite” spot for suicides. Imogen Poots played a spunky character and she pulled it off really well. The movie also starred Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad fame and I loved their onscreen chemistry.

Imogen Poots and Aaron Paul later on starred in another movie, Need For Speed. I don’t think the movie did so well, but I enjoyed it anyway since it also starred two of my actor crushes who I think are underrated – Ramon Rodriguez (Gang Related, Battle Los Angeles) and Rami Malek (Twilight, Night At The Museum). Gorgeous people. Of course, I also loved seeing Imogen and Aaron together again. Which reminds me, I really should start watching Breaking Bad. I have never seen a single episode at all. I know. Travesty.

Anyway, the most recent movie I saw that had Imogen Poots was a corny (but cute) rom-com, That Awkward Moment (released as Are We Officially Dating? in non-US areas). Imogen played another interesting character – this time an American so she ditched her British accent – and starred opposite the gorgeous Zac Efron. The movie was nothing extraordinary, but it was still pretty cute and worth watching on cable if only to see Imogen and the adorable bromance of Zac Efron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan. Funny cuties.

By the way, I was tickled pink to find out that Imogen Poots was also in Jane Eyre opposite the super sexy Michael Fassbender and the always impressive Mia Wasikowska. I’ve seen the movie but didn’t realize that character was her. She’s in a whole bunch of other films I haven’t seen and it seems she plays different types of characters in these movies. I’m glad to know she can be a chameleon too.

Anyhoo, that is all. She’s so cute!

Who are some of your girl crushes? I’d love to know!

  1. Oh man I love Imogen! I didn’t realize she was in 28 Days Later! But I first realized her in That Awkward Moment and I loved her. Then I watched Long Way Down and that was such a great movie! I’m glad that I’m seeing other people love her as well!
