Book Blast + $100 Giveaway: Valentina Goldman’s Immaculate Confusion by Marisol Murano

Welcome to another book blast! This time we’re featuring Valentina Goldman’s Immaculate Confusion by Marisol Murano. Read all about this very interesting book and join the Rafflecopter giveaway for a chance at a $100. :)

Valentina Goldman’s Immaculate Confusion (Marisol Murano)Since her arrival in the United States from Venezuela, Valentina Goldman isn’t exactly living the American Dream. She’s living the American Nightmare.

Her late husband, Max, has left her a young widow, a step-daughter whom Valentina didn’t want, and a bi-polar ex-wife. And oh, having given up her dream job in New York, Valentina is also unemployed in Arizona.

Part “Bridget Jones Diary,” part “Modern Family,” “Valentina Goldman’s Immaculate Confusion” is the story of a woman trying to get a handle on her whacky life in America. In breathless, blog-like snippets, Valentina compares her own story with that of her eccentric sister, Azucena, who has bizarre troubles of her own down in the tropics.

“Valentina Goldman’s Immaculate Confusion” is a funny and moving story about what happens when a passionate South American woman moves to the USA and, like so many of us, ends up with a life she never imagined. — Get this book on Amazon.

Review of Bone Wires by Michael Shean

This is my review stop for Bone Wires, a dark science fiction mystery novel by Michael Shean. I joined this tour because the book title reminded me of the movie The Bone Collector and the blurb made me think of Criminal Minds and CSI! Sometimes the words science, forensics, detective, and serial killers just get at me when it comes to books, shows, and what not. Read more after the jump!

Quick Review of She-Wulf by Sheryl Steines

I was sick for about five days last week. During that time I managed to finish four books. I know, right? Three were for upcoming blog tours and one was from my review list. This post is about that one book. I finally finished She Wulf, the second book in the Annie and Cham series by Sheryl Steines. The first book, The Day of First Sun, was one of my very first reviews on this blog.

About She WulfAnnie is sent through an ancient time portal with only a prophecy to guide her; she struggles with a new destiny as she tries to figure out a way to destroy an un-killable demon and return home.

I have to say I think this is better than the first one. I mean, Day of First Sun was fun and exciting, but for some reason I liked She-Wulf more. I think the writing has improved and the story flowed more easily. Also, I found the pacing to be just a tad bit faster and it wasn’t too difficult not to be pulled in by the story because something was always happening. Must be why I finished this book rather quickly.
