Let’s measure in LOVE.

In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife..
In five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
how do you measure a year in the life?
How about love?
Measure in love.

A meaningful Christmas to all!
And may you all be more blessed in the coming new year!

The Bag Lady

Ever since I got the big Paisley bag, I’ve been meaning to do a post on some of the looks I’ve put together with the bag. Then I realized they’re just my usual getup plus the bag. Hah. Anyway, I decided to just feature what I wore to dinner a few nights ago. I met up with some of my former colleagues from my last firm and this is what I wore. I call it the Bag Lady Look.

TADA! Big skirt plus big bag equals bag lady in the house, y’all! I should have worn the bag on my shoulder in this photo to illustrate. Anyway, just imagine the big blue bag hanging on my shoulder instead of sitting on that divan over there. Do you see it?

T-Shirt Thursday!

Some t-shirts and random thoughts follow below.

YAY.

Books Not Boys (TopatoCo).: I just thought this was cute. I miss books. I haven’t read anything in a while.

Video Game Hats (BustedTees).: I can’t name all the games these hats came from.

Where He At Now? (TopatoCo): I opened an MS office document just to check out the Help section.

The Walken Dead (Loops and Pluto): Do you watch The Walking Dead the TV series? I don’t. Zombies are icky. Who invented zombies, anyway?

Winter is Coming (BustedTees): Game of Thrones! Hurry, Season 2.

How Were You Born? (Threadless): I was born this way, hey. I was born this way, hey. I’m on the right track, baby. I was born this hey, way. Wait, that’s not right.

THAT IS ALL. THANKS.

The Pseudo Freelancer

Three posts ago I said I would write about my pseudo freelance work. So here it is.

Two months into my pseudo sabbatical, I was getting bored so I decided to apply for writing jobs on oDesk, an online staffing marketplace that connects employers to remote workers. I already signed up for an account last year, but never had the time to explore it. Anyway, this time I was able to attend to my applications and I was able to get a few jobs. Keeping them is another story.

Oh, Twilight.

Breaking Dawn Part 1, Yes, I watched it. You know you will, too. In fairy-ness, I think this was the most bearable of them Twilight movies. The three major characters were still their annoying selves, but I have to say I liked two things about the movie. No, make that three.

Twilight Schmwilight

Folks, we are all aware that  Breaking Dawn is upon us. The first part of the last installment of the Twilight saga opens next week. I’ve read all the books, but I cannot stand Bella and Edward and Jacob. I mean, really. Anyway, I can’t stand them, but I know I’m still going to watch the movie. Oh, we know we’re all going to watch this even if not all of us are fans. I’m curious. You’re curious. We’re all curious.

Anyway, all the hype reminded me of my ALL TIME FAVORITE explanation of Twilight by The Oatmeal. I really feel that this explanation is right on point. If you haven’t read this, I suggest you do. :P

Have a good week, folks! :)

T-Shirt Thursday: my Threadless shirts arrived after all!

Apparently, my last order from Threadless did not get “lost in transit” after all. They actually made it to the local post office. Hurray! Of course, it took a while, but at least they arrived in good condition. I only found out the other day that they arrived when my sister and I decided to check our mailbox. There were two notices from the post office. One was dated September and the other one was a second notice. So they already had my package since last month. Note to self: check mailbox regularly.

Storytellers. This shirt is so cute. Books!

Mr. Tee. Nice, eh

Popculture. Cute.

My Other Ride is a Light Cycle.  Tried taking a photo in the dark to show its glow-in-the-dark design, but it was a failure. Haha.

I’m mighty glad these shirts made it, but next time I think I’ll use a different route. I heard JohnnyAir’s pretty nifty. Haven’t tried their services yet, but I’ve read good reviews. I don’t want to wait ages for my packages. Tsk.

Oh, hey! Shirts! Yayyyyyyy.

Jason Mraz and Toca Rivera Live in Manila

Yes, we watched the man himself perform live at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. He was, of course, with his “brother by choice” Toca Rivera. Can’t say anything else except that they were awesome. They looked like they were just jamming and having fun up there. Jason Mraz sounds EXACTLY the way he sounds on his records. Pure awesome. I can’t say it enough. You know he’s awesome, right?
