I’ve read a lot of good things about this book and it did not disappoint. In fact, it just blew me away. I have to say, Cephrael’s Hand (A Pattern of Shadow and Light, Book One) by Melissa McPhail is one of the most amazing epic fantasies I’ve read so far. I loved this book so much that as part of this tour I’ve decided to also publish a guest post by the author. A New Year Means A New List!

Happy new year, friends! How was your new year celebration? Fun and injury-free, I hope? Did you party too hard or too little? ;P

I don’t know if you guys believe in new year’s resolutions. I like to think of them more as plans and to-do lists, and Day 1 of 365 days of new beginnings is as good a time as any to kick off a new list!

Ho hoh! I am resurrecting THE LISTS!  I don’t even know why I stopped doing this. Anyway, it’s a brand new year and I have TONS to do. I really am praying that this year I will have more discipline to stick to my plans. I need to get my freelance career going! No more sitting around doing unproductive things! My rent and travel plans depend on it! Haaah.

And so let’s go to my 2013 list, version 1 (mwahahaha)..

I don’t think I’ve read anything steampunk so I thought I should give it a go. Okay, actually I didn’t realize this book was steampunk when I first signed up for the tour. I saw the word tarot and thought I was in for a dark witchy fantasy. Oh, there’s dark stuff alright and magick, too. Plus flying ships and inventions! Yeahboy, steampunk!

I’m so cool, I finally read The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins after a bajillion years.

I read The Hunger Games last year after almost everyone on the planet has read it. I know, I’m a bit slow when it comes to catching up with what’s ultra trendy. Anyway, I wrote a quick blog post about it. A few days ago I finally got around to book 2, Catching Fire, and then just today to book 3, Mockingjay. Of course, I’m going to ramble about them here.
