Happy Holidays, friends! It’s that time of the year again. I just wanted to thank anyone and everyone who’s been to this blog for whatever reason. I really appreciate it, especially since this blog hasn’t been much of a blog for the past few months. Hopefully, I’ll do better next year!

Happy August 2nd, folks! August 2nd is not really a thing, right? But it’s a new month and with it come some pretty interesting challenges for moi and some pretty exciting things I’m looking forward to. I have lots on my mind and on my plate for the month and I just wanted to share it with you. Yeah, I really should be working right now, but lemme just spout off these things, okay?
I just realized it’s already July and we’re halfway through the year. Thought I should do a mid-year report of some sort just to lay out how my year has been. Also, I wanted to blog about something personal to balance out all the book spotlights I’ve been doing for the last few weeks. I admit, all those bookish posts are a sign of how lazy I am to blog about other things.
Anyway, not gonna ramble long about that. So, I’m basing this mid-year check on my new year post last January. Here we go!
Father’s Day is right around the corner, folks! Got anything special planned for the dads in your life?
I’ve to admit, I’m not really the gift-giving type. Probably got that from my family. I mean, sure, we celebrated special days but gifts were usually reserved for birthdays and Christmas. Most probably because we weren’t well off and there were more important things to spend on. This is also probably why I’m not great at picking presents. I tend to go for things that are useful as opposed to things that are nice to have. Know what I mean?
Anyway, never mind what I was just babbling about. It’s almost Father’s Day and for those who are still clueless about what to get your dad, grandad, husband, brother, boyfriend, friend or whoever, here’s something you should check out!

I don’t really know what to do with this blog at the moment, so I thought I’d just take a page from LizofWords and do this Rapid Fire Book Tag thing for today. Yay! It’s basically just a bunch of bookish questions that I’m supposed to answer rapidly (explain explain). LOL.
Okay, blog post filler, here we go! Haha.
Last month I posted my list of goals for the year and there were only six things on that list: read 3 books a month, write in my Q&A A Day For Writers journal, practice yoga, play ultimate, eat healthy and learn about chakras, meditation, etc.
These “goals” were more like “things I want to do this year” and I wanted to be pretty chill about them because I didn’t want to pressure myself. Anyway, a month into the new year I realized that some of these goals will really have to take a backseat if I focus on one or two because that’s exactly what happened.
It’s the holidays and there’s so much to be thankful for and so much to look forward to in the new year, so I thought I’d join this giveaway hop to show my gratitude to everyone and anyone who even takes a peek at this blog and, of course, to spread some good cheer!

I love the Harry Potter series. I mean, who doesn’t, right? Well, actually, I can name a few peeps who don’t really care about Harry Potter as much as most of us do – I mean, what?? – but, you know, they’re entitled to their own thing and I’m not up in arms about it. ANYWAY, so yesterday I got the email from Pottermore about finding out your Patronus and of course I had to go see what mine is!
Some of you may know that I don’t have a regular job and freelance some of the time. It’s not so bad but it can be a challenge to be productive. Thank the tech gods that there are cool productivity apps I can use to do my work. Today I’m listing them down just because. Hah. :)
