Monday Musings: I need more girly stuff

The week before last, I went to the alumni homecoming at my old firm and I had to borrow my sister’s pants and long cardigan. I also had to dig up some old black office flats because I didn’t have anything else to wear. Sister dear has some gorgeous wedges and pumps, but unfortunately my feet are a size larger than hers. Sadness.

Seriously, I need more girly stuff in my closet. Sure, I have some really cool tanks and graphic tees that I usually wear with cute shorts and my sister’s cool cargo skirt (which I luuurve to death), but I need a few pieces that I can wear to slightly more formal or ‘dressed up’ occasions. I can’t really wear my graphic tees all the time, you know. I need a cute blouse or a nice dress so that I won’t look underdressed at these pseudo fancypants events.

How do I follow thee? Let me count the ways.

Hi, friends! I’m not sure if you follow this blog via Google Reader (which has gone away) or some other reader, but I just wanted to let you  know about the many other ways you can do to keep up with the posts on White Sky Project! Woohoo! ;)

Bloglovin – I’m already following a ton of people on Bloglovin since I imported all the blogs I follow from Google Reader, but if I’m not following you yet, please send me your link in the comments! I haven’t really been maximizing Bloglovin, but I just found out that there’s an app that I can use on my iPad so I want to move everyone I follow over here. Should be fun! ;)

Subscribe via Email – This is how I follow most of my favorite blogs these days, which means I get all the new posts straight to my mailbox.

Facebook – New blog posts are always shared on this page. To see the updates on your newsfeed you’ll need to add the page to your interests (see image below).

There you go! Don’t forget to send me your Bloglovin links so I can add you.
Thanks! :)

Freedom to Read Giveaway Hop: Win $12 and ad spots!

Haven’t participated in a giveaway hop in a while, so I thought I’d celebrate the end of the first half of the year with one! Can you believe it’s already July?

Anyway, this here’s the Freedom to Read Giveaway Hop! Woohoo. This giveaway hop is hosted by Bookhounds and I Am A Reader, Not A Writer.

For my giveaway, I’m giving away $12 in PayPal cash and three Eye Candy ad spots!

Lemme explain my prizes first. The prizes for this particular giveaway hop have to be something a reader, author or blogger would enjoy. Since I can’t send books from Amazon or TBD at the moment, I decided to just give the cash for a book and a chance for bloggers and authors to promote their blogs or books on my blog for a month. :) Well, technically you can buy whatever you want with the cash, but I’m hoping it’s going to be a book. LOL.

Anyway, that’s it. The giveaway runs from today til July 9th. Enter via the Rafflecopter below! Thank you! :)

Stuff In My Mail Wednesday! Sticker love from Rock N Rollerr

Yay, it’s Stuff In My Mail Wednesday! Yeah, I know, that was kind of a stretch. Anyway, I just wanted to do a shout-out to Jenny of Rock N Rollerr. She sent me these awesome stickers last month and I got them in the mail a couple of weeks ago! I’ve only used one so far. I have it on my trusty Nalgene water bottle. Ultimate players are all about the personalized Nalgenes, I tell you, and I was happy to add this cool sticker to my collection! Thanks, Jenny! ;)

Mini Giveaway: $10 in Amazon Kindle books or PayPal cash (An Offering to the Giveaway Gods, Part 2)

You know I’ve been pretty open about my luck with online giveaways. I can’t remember how many times I’ve won e-books, print books, Amazon gift cards, and even DVDs. I haven’t won major cash prizes just yet–crossing my fingers on this one (hah!)–but books and GCs are pretty cool so it’s been really really awesome.

Since my last Offering to the Giveaway Gods, I’ve been blessed with winning the usual e-books, paperbacks and gift cards, but the last couple of months have been extra awesome! I won a super cool giveaway and I’m so excited for the prize to arrive. It’s still in transit so I’ll post more when it gets here.

And so I’ve decided that I’m due for another “Thank you, Giveaway Gods! Giveaway!” I’m having a mini giveaway to celebrate. Up for grabs: $10 in Kindle books from Amazon or PayPal cash!

Due to some limitations from my end right now, I can’t buy Amazon gift cards or send books from The Book Depository at the moment so the winner will have to choose between $10 worth of Kindle books from Amazon (which I will buy from my remaining balance and then send as a gift) or $10 in PayPal cash.

That’s it. Enter using the Rafflecopter! Good luck, friends! :)

Baby steps towards bride mode

Last week it has begun. I have started to get time-sucked into wedding websites and wedding pinboards. I’ve been looking at dresses randomly in the last few weeks, but this time I’ve actually created my own wedding-themed pinboard and I’ve been browsing through the galleries of this really cute wedding website. Yeahboy bride mode on.

Awesome, right? Well, I’m just looking around for dress ideas and other cute wedding concepts. I haven’t checked out anything exercise-related, so I’m not going to go buy yoga mats or exercise stuff any time soon. I will go back to Insanity though. Gotta finish that sh*t and be toned for the big day. LOL.

Any great wedding websites I should check out?
