Saying goodbye to Feedburner + blogging for 31 days in October

Bye bye, Feedburner!

I have stopped using Feedburner for my RSS feed and email subscriptions. If you’re subscribed to this blog via email, you don’t have to do anything from your end! You will simply notice a change in how new posts are being delivered to your inbox and in the appearance of the emails themselves. I am now using Mailchimp’s RSS-to-email service and it’s configured to look for new posts thrice a week and will send email updates ONLY when there are new posts.

Coffee Not Coffee for coffee lovers

What’s better than a good ol’ cup of coffee? Winning a whole pack of organic coffee, that is!

Yep, the giveaway gods have blessed me again! I won the cool Coffee Not Coffee giveaway over at Greta’s Junkyard! Yayyyyy coffeeee.

I was pretty excited when I found out I was one of the two winners. I entered on the last day of the giveaway so I really felt lucky. It made me feel so giddy that I thought I should do a post when I’ve had a taste of my prize! I haven’t done a product review in a long while so this should be interesting.

Read on to know more about Coffee Not Coffee and my first taste of their organic coffee product.

Blog Tour & Giveaway: Cephrael’s Hand by Melissa McPhail

I read Cephrael’s Hand last year and really loved it. It’s a pretty long novel and may not appeal to everyone but it was one of the best I read that year and one of my all-time favorite fantasies. Every time I receive an email about blog tours for Melissa’s books, I’m always up for it because <3! :)

Now I was going to post a review of book two, The Dagger of Adendigaeth, today, but, alas, I won’t be able to since I decided to re-read Cephrael’s Hand first to refresh my memory. Hopefully I’ll have my review of book two up before the end of the tour. I bought the Kindle version of the book when it became available, but I fell in a seriouzly serious reading and blogging rut sometime after that so it’s been sitting in my iPad for AGES. This blog tour is just the perfect time for me to get back to this series, especially with book three coming out in October (OMG can’t wait!).

Blog Tour: Beyond The Pale (A Fantasy and Paranormal YA Anthology)

When I received the invite for this blog tour, I just couldn’t resist. A fantasy anthology of short stories by bestselling writers the likes of Jim Butcher and Kami Garcia? Hellsyeah.

Today we have a guest post, “Prose Lessons by the Pros,” by the editor Henry Herz. If you’re a writer or want to be one, you have got to read this post. It’s chockfull of helpful tips! Also, check out an excerpt from one of the stories, The Children of the Shark God by Peter S. Beagle.
