Blog Tour: The Burning Time by JG Faherty

Yay blog tour! This is for The Burning Time, a horror novel by author JG Faherty. I was really tempted to review this book for the tour but I know I have to stick to my review pile for now. Check out the excerpt! It’s muy scary.
About the bookWherever The Stranger goes, evil follows. Wild dogs roam the fields. Townspeople turn on each other in murderous fury. Innocent women throw themselves off bridges. Swimmers disappear, victims of a deadly beast that haunts their waters. And the worst is still yet to come. The Stranger plans to open a gateway to the nether realms and release the Elder Gods to bring forth Chaos on Earth.Only one man knows the truth, a country mage whose family has fought The Stranger before. But can he defeat his ageless enemy before Hastings Mills is nothing but a smoking ruin and the townspeople become unwilling blood sacrifices to the Old Ones? With only the help of a young woman and her teenage son, he will have to use all of his arcane knowledge to thwart his adversary and prevent the final apocalypse. In Hastings Mills, The Burning Time has arrived.

March has come and I got zip.

The part where I rant about achieving nada in February. Nada!

How now, browncow? It is MARCH and I have yet to do shit. I mean, really do shit. I seem to have forgotten my bucket list. Well, kind of. Not totally. I’m just not making any real progress.

Okay, let’s see here. I got zip short stories. Zero personal essays. No creative writing pieces for my creative writing challenge. No completed article over at Words.ph. HOLY CRAP. I suck. I suck big time.

Inspiring destinations for writers (a guest post)

Hey, guys! We all know that finding inspiration for writing isn’t always easy. As an article writer, I sometimes find it hard to write about random topics. I mean, when you have to write about random stuff like medical equipment suppliers, college applications, custom paint jobs or custom made church chairs, it can be hard to make it an inspired article. For articles like these, I just try to imagine what would make a reader enjoy these articles and find inspiration in being able to share interesting information to readers.

Today I have this guest post from the guys over at The Cruise Web. We know traveling to new places can be a great source of inspiration, so here they have some ideas for inspiring destinations for writers.

Happy Thursday!

It’s here! Today is an official book launch day for Stepping Into More by Rachel Karu!  To celebrate the launch, the author is organizing a giveaway with awesome prizes!

Stepping into More by Rachel Karu

Life is meant to be lived with purpose.

Before Rachel Karu could speak, she longed to be a singer and performer.  But like all of us, Rachel was born with Gremlins – inner voices that hate change and demand the status quo. These perpetual tapes clung to her mind like shackles threatening to derail her at every turning point. At the lead of Rachel’s gang of Gremlins was the toughest of them all: Perfectionism.

In STEPPING INTO MORE: Lessons from a Recovering Perfectionist, Rachel details her personal journey of wrangling and ultimately co-existing with her Gremlins. We are born with strengths and development areas. Our goal is to create a fulfilling life. But we all need some guidance along the way.

Intended as a tool, this guide offers support as you grapple with your own Gremlins and higher self, so that you learn how to make clear, conscious choices that lead to a wonderful expansive life.   Rachel’s story and the reflective questions at the end of each chapter are designed to serve as a stepping stone for you to reconnect to and honor your passions, values, and dreams.

Spotlight: A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest

Today we’re featuring a new book with another interesting take on the ever popular vampire legend. Read more about the book and even get a sneak preview of the first 6 chapters!

A Shade of Vampire

On the evening of Sofia Claremont’s seventeenth birthday, she is sucked into a nightmare from which she cannot wake.
A quiet evening walk along a beach brings her face to face with a dangerous pale creature that craves much more than her blood.

She is kidnapped to an island where the sun is eternally forbidden to shine.
An island uncharted by any map and ruled by the most powerful vampire coven on the planet. She wakes here as a slave, a captive in chains.

Sofia’s life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn when she is the one selected out of hundreds of girls to join the harem of Derek Novak, the dark royal Prince.

Despite his addiction to power and obsessive thirst for her blood, Sofia soon realizes that the safest place on the island is within his quarters, and she must do all within her power to win him over if she is to survive even one more night.

Will she succeed? …or is she destined to the same fate that all other girls have met at the hands of the Novaks?

Yes, it is absolutely vital that I post about Safe Haven.

It really is. Absolutely vital, I mean.

Yes, yes, I know I haven’t been posting much about movies and I feel awful, but really this post is just an excuse to talk about Safe Haven, the latest movie based on a Nicholas Sparks book. That Nick, you know. He’s damn good with making stories that make women like me feel warm and fuzzy and obsessed with cool soundtracks (huh?). Although I haven’t read most of your charming novels, I heart you, Nicholas Sparks, I do. But not as much as I heart Josh Duhamel. Yes. That man.

Criminal profiling, forensic psychology, and tarot cards! Check out Rogue Oracle by Alayna Williams

Yay another book tour! This is for Rogue Oracle, the second book in the Oracle Series by author Alayna Williams.

Hello, magic words that get me interested in a book! I really wanted to read them for this tour, but I know I wouldn’t be able to finish in time. So, they’re going on my review pile for now. (Ah review pile, you keep growing and growing!)

Anyway, check out this guest post by Alayna Williams. And check out the cover art, the book summaries and the excerpt from Rogue Oracle. Do check them out, friends, do check them out. Thou art awesome. ;)
