Finally found a good use for my oh-so-too-pretty-to-write-on Starbucks planner.
I have decided to start a freelance journal. What exactly is a freelance journal, you ask? I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I want to start some sort of journal this year and…

Its many sources and topics are ranging, but circle always back to the overarching theme of recovery from mental illness through better knowledge of self and becoming more whole, a complex process both mental and spiritual, which entails increasing awareness of connectedness to the greater whole, the infinite.

A partial bucket list
Since we’re been talking about bucket lists all week, I thought I should start writing down my own. Many of the things are inspired by the book A Writer’s Bucket List and most of the things on my list are more like “what I want to accomplish this year” kind of stuff than “things I want to do before I die” kind of stuff, but what the heck. A list is a list and I think it’s always healthy to have a list of small goals or plans for any time and any where.
This is just a partial list, okay? :)

I’m Kind of a Weirdo, and You Might Be, Too
by Dana Sitar
Because Leah has been so generous as to devote a whole week to the launch of my book — *blush* — I think it’s time to introduce myself to you all. I’d love for you to do the same! Tell me in the comments who you are.
Review & Giveaway: A Writer’s Bucket List by Dana Sitar
I don’t remember now how I came across author Dana Sitar’s blog DIY Writing, but I found myself there and started reading about how she upped and went away without any solid plan and became a freelance writer. I really liked her blog and when I read about A Writer’s Bucket List, I jumped at the chance to be one of the advanced reviewers.
Reading this book was perfect timing for me. It really put things in perspective. Like what I said in my new year post, when I decided to do the freelance writing thing full time, I wasn’t exactly sure what kind of writer or freelancer I wanted to be. Did I want to focus on article or blog writing? Copywriting? Book reviewing? Editing and proofreading? Or did I want to be in author PR and marketing? Did I want to be a novelist? This book helped me realize that maybe I didn’t have to label myself as one thing.
The Bucket List Challenge: What will you cross off your bucket list in 2013?
Welcome to The Bucket List Challenge! Yayyyyy. The challenge only has one simple rule. Answer the question: What will I cross off my bucket list in 2013?
Okay, I haven’t really sat down and thought about my bucket list, but there are a couple of things that I already know I want to cross off this year. Wait, make that three things that I MUST cross off this year.
The first one is related to writing, the second is related to health, and the third is related to my other obsession hobby: blog customization. Read on about the top 3 (for now) on my bucket list. And if you haven’t yet, enter the giveaway for a chance to win a copy of A Writer’s Bucket List!

Cover Reveal: REDEYE by Michael Shean
This sinister cover, my friend, is none other than that of REDEYE, the second installment of author Michael Shean’s The Wonderland Cycle. I haven’t read the first book, Shadow of a Dead Star, but I’ve read and reviewed the author’s other book Bone Wires.
The Wonderland Cycle is set in the same world where Bone Wires took place so I’m pretty sure these are cool reads, too. Check out the book summaries below!
