I love featuring fantasy and adventure picture books here on the blog. I am always amazed by the gorgeous illustrations. Today I have here Ninja and Bunny’s Great Adventure by Kara S. Tyler, with illustrations by Sarah Pacetti. It’s a pretty cool book about two sisters and their adventure in Fairyland!

Rend the Dark by authors Mark Gelineau and Joe King is out today! I read this author duo’s first story A Reaper of Stone just last month and I found it so promising that I was so excited for the chance to read another one of their stories. In their blog, the authors describe Rend the Dark as a good old-fashioned action horror adventure. I happen to love horror and adventure so I was stoked to read it.

Aaaand we have a middle grade magical adventure book for you today! We’re featuring ElsBeth and the Call of the Castle Ghosties, Book III in the Cape Cod Witch Series by authors J Bean Palmer and Chris Palmer. We also have a short interview with creator and co-author J Bean.
As a freelance writer I come across a lot of interesting things from tips, sources and websites I follow. Most of them are branding or marketing campaigns that are unlike anything I’ve seen and pretty much off the hook.
One of the latest cool things I’ve come across is Heineken’s Voyage campaign, where they try to find out what men are really made of when taken out of their regular lives and dropped off into the unknown. They find these random dudes from all over the world and then drop them off in a seemingly random location. Imagine getting dropped off in the middle of Alaska with nothing but a giant life-ring, a tuxedo and a plane ticket for home, and the airport is miles away. Holy legendary adventures, Batman!
