Review & Giveaway: A Writer’s Bucket List by Dana Sitar
I don’t remember now how I came across author Dana Sitar’s blog DIY Writing, but I found myself there and started reading about how she upped and went away without any solid plan and became a freelance writer. I really liked her blog and when I read about A Writer’s Bucket List, I jumped at the chance to be one of the advanced reviewers.
Reading this book was perfect timing for me. It really put things in perspective. Like what I said in my new year post, when I decided to do the freelance writing thing full time, I wasn’t exactly sure what kind of writer or freelancer I wanted to be. Did I want to focus on article or blog writing? Copywriting? Book reviewing? Editing and proofreading? Or did I want to be in author PR and marketing? Did I want to be a novelist? This book helped me realize that maybe I didn’t have to label myself as one thing.
Review: Treason (The Grimoire Trilogy #2) by S.M. Boyce
Finally finished reading the follow up to The Grimoire: Lichgates by author S.M. Boyce! In my review of Lichgates, I mentioned that I had a hard time getting into the book. Luckily, it wasn’t the same with the second book, Treason.
About the book
Ourea has always been a deadly place. The lichgates tying the hidden world to Earth keep its creatures at bay—for now.Kara Magari ignited a war when she stumbled into Ourea and found the Grimoire: a powerful artifact filled with secrets. To protect the one person she has left, she strikes a deal that goes against everything she believes in. But things don’t go as planned.
Braeden Drakonin can no longer run from who—and what—he is. He has to face the facts. He’s a prince. He’s a murderer. He’s a wanted man. And after a betrayal that leaves him heartbroken, he’s out for blood.
To survive, both Kara and Braeden must become the evil each has grown to hate. — Get this book on Amazon

Blog Tour: Review of Cephrael’s Hand by Melissa McPhail (plus a giveaway!)
I’ve read a lot of good things about this book and it did not disappoint. In fact, it just blew me away. I have to say, Cephrael’s Hand (A Pattern of Shadow and Light, Book One) by Melissa McPhail is one of the most amazing epic fantasies I’ve read so far. I loved this book so much that as part of this tour I’ve decided to also publish a guest post by the author. In her guest post, Melissa talks about the fascinating magic system she designed for Cephrael’s Hand. It’s super cool, folks. Trust me.
