Review of Bone Wires by Michael Shean

This is my review stop for Bone Wires, a dark science fiction mystery novel by Michael Shean. I joined this tour because the book title reminded me of the movie The Bone Collector and the blurb made me think of Criminal Minds and CSI! Sometimes the words science, forensics, detective, and serial killers just get at me when it comes to books, shows, and what not. Read more after the jump!

Review of Kavachi’s Rise (The Devouring #1) by Mike Kearby

Today I have a review of Kavachi’s Rise by Mike Kearby. This very interesting book is the first in The Devouring series. Check out the blurb, excerpt, and my short review after the jump!

Quick Review of She-Wulf by Sheryl Steines

I was sick for about five days last week. During that time I managed to finish four books. I know, right? Three were for upcoming blog tours and one was from my review list. This post is about that one book. I finally finished She Wulf, the second book in the Annie and Cham series by Sheryl Steines. The first book, The Day of First Sun, was one of my very first reviews on this blog.

About She WulfAnnie is sent through an ancient time portal with only a prophecy to guide her; she struggles with a new destiny as she tries to figure out a way to destroy an un-killable demon and return home.

I have to say I think this is better than the first one. I mean, Day of First Sun was fun and exciting, but for some reason I liked She-Wulf more. I think the writing has improved and the story flowed more easily. Also, I found the pacing to be just a tad bit faster and it wasn’t too difficult not to be pulled in by the story because something was always happening. Must be why I finished this book rather quickly.

Review, Guest Post & Giveaway – The Division of The Damned by Richard Rhys Jones

I joined this blog tour because I was really intrigued by the premise of this book. It’s about vampires! But the kind that I like–evil, diabolical, deceiving, and without any remorse. What would have happened in World War 2 if the Third Reich had vampires on their side? Interesting, yes? Read on to know more! Plus check out a guest post by the author, read a really cool excerpt from the first chapter (vampires!!), and join the giveaway for a chance to win 5 paperback copies and 10 ebook copies of The Division of The Damned (open worldwide).

Review, Excerpt & Book Trailer: Pledged by Gwynneth White

This is still part of the massive blog tour of Pledged by Gwynneth White. This will be my last post for the tour. Check out my brief review, read an excerpt, and watch the really cool book trailer!

About the book

Everyone has a soul mate. But what do you do when your soul mate would rather give his soul to the demons than be with you?

Seventeen-year-old Erin has a problem. Seth has been hers forever, but now an ancient promise is tearing him away. And Reuel, the demon to whom the promise was made, will stop at nothing to force Seth to forsake Erin and to worship him. How can Erin win against a pledge so binding that it has damned countless others to the same fate she and Seth will face if Reuel wins – an eternity alone? The answer lies in the past. To find it, Erin and Seth must risk all, travelling back in time to a dangerous world where love is forbidden, and life – and death – hang on a promise.

Guest Review: The Stranger by Albert Camus

Today I have a guest review by Katheryn Rivas! Here she talks about The Stranger by Albert Camus. I have to admit I wasn’t familiar with this book until this guest review, but it’s now on my list. It had me on existentialism.

About the book
Through the story of an ordinary man unwittingly drawn into a senseless murder on an Algerian beach, Camus explored what he termed “the nakedness of man faced with the absurd.” First published in English in 1946.
