Today we have the second book of the Faith and Moonlight series by Gelineau and King. This series follows the story of orphans Roan and Kay and their journey into becoming Razors.

Today we have Civil Blood, the second book in the Best Left in the Shadows series by Mark Gelineau and Joe King. This book came out last month but I was only able to read it a couple of weeks ago. I read it in one sitting not only because it’s a novella but it was fast-paced and so easy to read.

I think I’ve been pretty clear that I’m a big fan of the Ascended series by Gelineau and King. I love the different storylines but my favorites so far are that of Ferran in Rend the Dark and Elinor of Reaper. Today I’m stoked to feature Skinshaper, the second novella in the Rend the Dark series.

I love featuring fantasy and adventure picture books here on the blog. I am always amazed by the gorgeous illustrations. Today I have here Ninja and Bunny’s Great Adventure by Kara S. Tyler, with illustrations by Sarah Pacetti. It’s a pretty cool book about two sisters and their adventure in Fairyland!

I’m actually late in posting this review because Broken Banners, the follow-up to A Reaper of Stone was released several days ago. But, better late than never, right?
I’m going to tell you right now that I’ve been a big fan of the work by authors Gelineau and King ever since I read Reaper, so I’m pretty much always excited about every new book in the series. So far I haven’t been disappointed. The Ascended series has all the elements of fantasy that I love and please check out the cover, yeah? This series has some pretty gorgeous covers.
