The Spa Wellness Datebook 2015

Last month I decided that I should keep a fitness journal this year. I was kind of obsessing about the Blogilates Fit Journal – which looks pretty cool (though it’s too structured for me and would probably be wasted on me) – and I was thinking maybe keeping a journal might help me be more consistent, so I decided to transform one of my unused notebooks into a pseudo “fitness journal.” I selected one with unlined pages and started logging in my workouts.

I was able to log in a few workout sessions before my whole fitness journal plan went kaput. Hah. It was around the time that Carpet Head gave me this “Wellness Datebook” by The Spa. I was ecstatic when I got it because it meant I can use it instead of the unlined notebook and save the other one for whatever mighty writing ventures I can think of in the future. Haha. I copied my records of my previous workouts into the datebook and that was the last time I opened it. HAH. I stopped working out days before Boracay Open and still haven’t started working out again days after Boracay. I know, I’m terrible.

Anyway, I think my grace period has ended and I should be starting my workouts again so I’m hoping to revive this “fitness journal” thing this month.

To jumpstart this “revival,” let me tell you a little bit about The Spa Wellness Datebook and what’s in it.

Notebooks are love.

You know I have a thing for notebooks. Admiring them, holding them, buying them, not using them. I have a couple that have never been used and a few that I use sometimes. Notebooks are love and I’ve decided to honor them the way I do with awesome graphic tees. Haha. ;)

Here’s a really cool one from Threadless–the Make Book! Really cute.

Planners are wasted on me. Therefore, I want one. (With bonus rambling at the end of this post. YAY.)

Lookit these lovely paper things c/o Fullybooked!

Fullybooked had this cool post on their blog about five different types of planners for different people and it made me want a planner. Now, I have never kept a planner. Or rather, I have never used one for its purpose. I’ve made several attempts to maintain one back in college and when I was still working for the feeerm. In college, instead of filling out the dated pages of planner things, I ended up writing down my schedule or notes at the back of class handouts which I stuffed in my binder. When I was at my old job, planners that I received as tokens or gifts gathered dust in my filing cabinet. I was content to use the calendar on my phone or the firm-issued notebook for noting down meetings.

A Notebook for Artists and Doodlers

I was killing time at Fullybooked in the Powerplant Mall yesterday. I swear, I’d live there or in the BHS branch if I could. I browsed through the shelves and handled the pretty books that caught my attention, but I ended up taking my precious time in the school and office knick knacks section. Notebooks and journals galore! Oh, LOVE. I love notebooks, but I stop myself from buying stuff I don’t really need. I still have a couple of little notebooks I haven’t really used much. I used to bring one of them, but it made my bag too heavy. I miss doodling on notebooks. :S
